Francisco Aleman, 77, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Taylor Elzner as celebrant. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Military rites are provided by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Francisco was born on January 15, 1948, in Donna, Texas, to Jose and Anita Aleman. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1967 and served three years in the Army.
On November 11, 1968, he married Elisa “Lisa” Aleman in El Paso, TX. She passed away on December 19, 2013.
For over 35 years, Francisco worked as a mail handler, retiring from the U.S. Postal Service. He was known for being strong and independent. Francisco enjoyed playing cards and had a strong technical inclination, which corresponded with his love of computers.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jose Luis Aleman; and his sister, Olga Aleman.
Survivors include his son, Richard Guzman, of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Estella Aleman, Joe Aleman, both of Midland, TX, Lupina Fry, of Tulsa, OK, Mandy Oltivero, of Hart, TX, and Armando Aleman and wife Linda, of Victoria, TX; grandchildren, Raquel Medrano and husband Chris, and Adrian Guzman and Roberta, all of Lubbock, TX; and his great-grandchildren, Christopher Medrano, Rickey Medrano, Noah Gonzales, Jordan Medrano, Jaxon Medrano, Neyomi Ceballos, Laudia Ceballos, Anabell Guzman, Jasmin Guzman, Jaiden Guzman, Malachi Hurtt, Lynnix Guzman, Maliyah Hurtt, and Bishop Guzman.
