It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Frankie Tony Rivera on December 28, 2025.
Frankie was born on January 16, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Frank Ulibarri Rivera and Julia Quintana Rivera. He was one of twelve children: Joe, Phillip, Mary, Raymond, Frankie, Rudy, Hope, Roy, David, Julie, Lynda, and Corina.
Frankie grew up in California, where he attended and graduated from high school. Shortly after graduation, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge, Frankie went on to build a life centered on love, faith, and family.
He met the love of his life, Maxine Lucille Russell, and they were married on May 22, 1975. Together, they raised five children: Michelle, Ruth, Karmel, Jahnel, and David. Over the years, he took great joy in watching his grandchildren Devan, Jadon, Chloe, and Josiah grow into fine young adults.
Soon after their marriage, Frankie and Maxine began studying the Bible. Deeply moved by the love shown by Jehovah God and His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16), they dedicated their lives and were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses. From that time forward, Frankie faithfully served others by opening his home, sharing meals, offering financial help when needed, and encouraging many through the sharing of Bible scriptures. His kindness, generosity, and genuine concern for others reflected his deep faith and love for people.
Frankie will be dearly missed by all who knew him and were touched by his warmth, generosity, and steadfast devotion to his family and his faith.
A special and heartfelt thank you is extended to his eldest daughter, Michelle, for lovingly taking on the role of caregiver. Her dedication, compassion, and sacrifice meant more than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be directed to www.jw.org.
Service arrangements will be communicated once finalized.
