Garry Delbert Parker

Garry Delbert Parker, 77, of Dumas, died on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox with Tommie Long officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Garry was born on May 31, 1948 in Wheeler, Texas to Zearle Coleman Parker and Vetola Guadean Young Parker. He grew up in Briscoe, Texas and graduated from Briscoe High School in 1966. Garry began working at Pampa Electric Supply, then he hauled milk for A&PI, and worked for transcom in Ok. City. He moved to Dumas in 1973 where he worked for Texas Concrete. He retired from JBS in 2017 after 42 years of employment. He loved to do carpenter work, coach, play baseball, bowl, and spend the weekend camping at the lake. He loved collecting John Deere tractor models and model t cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He married Latica Kay Thompson in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Toleen Clark; brothers, Charlie Parker, Leroy Parker, and Ted Parker.

Garry is survived by his wife, Latica (Tish) Parker of the home; children, Bobby James Parker and wife April of Shreveport, La., Randy Parker and wife Tammy of Atlanta, Tx., Shane Parker of Amarillo, Billy Parker and wife Kay of Magnolia, Tx., Sheri Hall and husband Todd of Ocala, Fl, Jill Albus and husband Eric of Amarillo, Jakayla Paker and Adam Chairez of Dumas, Janae Parker and fiancé Travis Babcock of Amarillo; step children, Jennifer Bohanon of Hooks, Tx., James Koch and wife Shannon of Amarillo, Joe Stewart and wife Jamie of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Garry requested all those in attendance to wear yellow and green colors for his love for John Deere tractors.
