Gavin was an old soul whose love for music knew no bounds — from smooth jazz and timeless oldies to the lively rhythms of Tejano and Norteño. He had a deep appreciation for every melody that spoke to the heart.
Strong-willed and determined, Gavin carried that spirit proudly — a gift passed down from his beloved maternal grandfather, Mario Quintero… if you know, you know.
A true health and fitness enthusiast, Gavin found joy and pride in his dedication to the gym. His commitment and discipline reflected his passion for living life to the fullest, body and soul.
Gavin is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mario Quintero; his paternal grandfather, Rogelio Ortiz; and his uncle, George Ortiz.
He is survived by his loving parents, Martin and Jeanna Ortiz of Amarillo, TX; his brother, George Ortiz of Amarillo, TX; his maternal grandmother, Connie Quintero of Amarillo, TX; and his paternal grandmother, Margarita Ortiz of Dumas, TX. He is also survived by his Aunt Cindy Quintero of Amarillo, TX; Uncle Ernie Ortiz of Dumas, TX; Uncle Eugene Ortiz of Colleyville, TX; and countless cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
