Gaynor VanShaw Guleke, 99, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 8, 2025.
Graveside services will be held Saturday August 30, 2025, at 2:00pm in Llano Cemetery with Reverend Murray Gossett of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Gaynor was born September 3, 1925, in Amarillo to W.H. and Tula VanShaw. She graduated from Amarillo High School, Amarillo College, and The University of Texas -Austin.
She was the Purchasing Agent for Amarillo College for 18 years, a member of First Presbyterian Church serving as a teacher, deacon, and elder. She served on the boards of the Junior League of Amarillo, the Amarillo Symphony, and Harrington House.
She is preceded in death by her son, Edward Guleke, and her sister Martha Babb.
She is survived by two sons: Jim Guleke and his wife Kay of Austin, Van Guleke and his wife Suzanne and her two sons of Amarillo, and her daughter Ann Holt and husband John of Abilene. She has four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
