In Loving Memory of Gold Stone (Stony) Escoto.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Gold Stone (Stony) Escoto, who passed away on October 11, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 PM, Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 16, 2026 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Stony was born on October 30, 1980, in Amarillo, Texas, to Elmer and Carrie Escoto. He graduated from River Road High School in 1999.
Stony was a loving, caring, and devoted family man with a heart full of kindness and compassion. He was always willing to go above and beyond for those he loved, never hesitating to offer a helping hand, words of encouragement, or unwavering support. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he always made sure those closest to him knew how much they meant to him.
Stony loved animals and music, and enjoyed playing golf and softball. He was never afraid of a “little” competition.
One of Stony’s greatest blessings and proudest accomplishments was being a father to his two sons, Preston and Battle Escoto. He cherished his role as a father and found immense joy in the love he shared with his children. Beyond being a devoted father, Stony was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tana Lee Escoto; his grandparents, Margie “Grams” and John Carpenter; his grandfather, Alton Brooks; his uncle, Russell Hawkins; and his great-grandmother, Ruby Bell Essary; and great-grandparents, Bruce Harrison and Fannie Harrison Brown.
Stony is survived by his parents, Carrie and Elmer Escoto; his sons, Preston and Battle Escoto; his sister, Shay Preciado and husband Louie; his nephews, Hagen, Cayden, and Braylen; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Stony will forever be remembered for his generous heart, his devotion to family, and the love he shared with everyone around him. Although he is no longer physically with us, his memory will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the countless moments his loved ones will forever cherish.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
