Gregory Stuart Day “Greg”, 59, of Amarillo, TX passed away July 19, 2023.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 24

, 2023 in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M., at the Erick Cemetery, 12615 N 1750 Rd.  Erick, Oklahoma. Officiating services will be by Bret McCasland, Senior Minister of Colonies Church of Christ.

Greg, the eldest of three children, was born in Borger, Texas on October 10

, 1963. He was a graduate of Putnman City North High School in Oklahoma City in 1981. Greg graduated from Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City with a Bachelor of Business. He had a passion for the retail industry where he held a leadership career and traveled many places. Greg continued his career, welcomed three children, and moved to Amarillo, Texas where he called home. He had a passion for exploring new places and was always looking for an adventure. Greg was skilled in many things and transitioned into real estate. He enjoyed giving families a place to call home.  He appreciated the challenge of updating homes and leaving them better than he found them. He was a man who loved his family and would do anything for anyone, and he often did.

His children remember him as an encouraging, loving, and supportive father who always motivated them to pursue their dreams. Greg’s family and friends always loved his great sense of humor and how witty he was. At every family event, everyone could count on him to make the best joke and make sure everyone was laughing and smiling. He was the best grandpa “Coffee” and “Uncle Egg”, the family often joked that with his names, he was the best breakfast.

He was preceded in death by Father, Jim F. Day, and Maternal and Paternal grandparents.

He left behind his wife Krista Day of Amarillo, TX, Mother Pat Day of Amarillo, TX, son Bryan Day and wife Catie of Fayetteville, AR, daughter Rachel Day of Trophy Club, TX, son Christopher Day of Lawton, OK, step-son Christian Bryan of Amarillo TX, and step-daughter, Kaity Bryan of Minneapolis, MN,  brother James Day of Howardwick, TX, sister, Michelle Arnold and husband, Joel of Amarillo, TX, niece Meghan Kitts and Husband Trevor of Amarillo, Tx and grandchildren, Jacob, Katie, Alice, and Easton, and a host of family and friends.
