Grovene Handing

Grovene Handing, 80, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, November 25, 2024.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Grovene was born January 8, 1944, to Red and Anita DeBord in Gruver, TX, and graduated from Stratford High School where she participated in band. For more than thirty-years, Grovene worked as a CNA, specializing in elder care. Grovene was a very giving and great mother. A person that always brought love and a smile to any room she entered.

Survivors include her son, William; two daughters, Cheryl and Tammy; sister, Barbara; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
