Harold Scott Creamer III, 78, of Amarillo, TX passed away June 4, 2026.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 15, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Harold Scott Creamer III was born in Wilmington, Delaware on April 16, 1948, to Harold and Maggie Creamer. By the time Scott, as he liked to be called, was 5 yrs old, his family had moved to sunny Florida. Scott attended South Dade Sr High in Homestead, where he was a member of the swimming team and graduated in 1966.
Fall of 1966 took Scott to the University of Florida but in 1967 he made the decision to join the US Air Force. He was deployed to Vietnam, serving in the dental corps and retired in 1989 at the rank of Master Sergent from Offutt AFB in Bellevue, Ne.
Civilian life took him around the world again as he worked in the Testing Department for First Data Resources. Based out of Omaha, Scott traveled to many cities in the states and overseas to London and Sydney until he chose to begin teleworking in 2000 so he could move to the great state of Texas and be near family.
Scott moved to Amarillo in July 2000 and began enjoying retirement in August 2006. In May 2010 Scott married his high school sweetheart Glenda Jerman. Their official ceremony was held in North Carolina with her family followed by an intimate backyard ceremony in Amarillo, that allowed Scott’s family to celebrate them as well. He loved living near family and the blessing of watching his grandchildren grow up and begin their adult lives. Scott was also very fond of computers, gadgets, foreign films, gospel music and loved Jesus!
We take comfort in the knowledge that Scott had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now in HIS presence, completely healed, praising Jesus through one of his many favorite gospel hymns.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his son Matthew Creamer. He is survived by his wife Glenda Creamer, son Bryan Creamer (Dinah), daughters Patti Hope (Keith) and Adriene Whitfield (Tony), stepdaughter Melissa Schutte (Shad) and stepson David Farmer (Teresa), along with 7 grandchildren – Dylan Hope (fiancé Kezia), Sarah Smith (Philip), Breanna Benson, Paul Benson (fiancé Bailey), Sean Schutte, Ray Mercado, Emiley Mercado (Allan) and 3 great grandchildren – Kevin, Dean, and Laklin.
