Isla L. Wade

Isla L. Wade, 89, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 24, 2026.

Isla Wade was born in Wichita, Kansas graduating as Valedictorian of her High School and attending Friends University in Kansas.

She spent her life following her passion for teaching and spreading the word of God. She always exhibited quiet strength and love, welcoming anyone she came into contact with. She retired from Hallmark Card Company. She then relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she began volunteering in multiple Children Ministries.

Survivors include her two younger siblings, Beth Huffmeier and Rollin Bleedsoe; her three daughters, Brenda Applebee of Oklahoma, Deleta Brannin of New Mexico, and Tara Graham of New Mexico; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas at the Mausoleum of the Memory Gardens Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
