Iveen Chambers, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Iveen was born on April 25, 1936, in Utica, Oklahoma to Fannie Cordell and George Woodrow Brooks. She owned and operated a car dealership with her husband, Charles Chambers.
She loved her family and cherished spending time with her great-grandson, Banks Bradley. Iveen had a passion for oil painting and drawing and loved the time she spent at Western Bowl as the league coordinator.
Iveen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chambers; her parents, George Woodrow Brooks and Fannie Cordell Mitchell; and her siblings, Alton Kent Brooks and Doris Ann Brooks Woods.
She is survived by her daughters, Gina McCown and husband David, Tonya Malson and husband Matt, and Dell Williams; grandchildren, Chloe Strickland and husband Dylan, Claire McCown, Madison Rasnake and husband Blake, and Nicole Williams and siblings; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Delbert “Butch” Brooks and wife Carol, Margaret Covey, and Vicki Jackson and her life-long friend, Carolyn Shelton.
