Ivy Goldie Ward, 95, of Nara Visa, NM died Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Viewing will be from 12-5:00 PM, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Ivy was born May 5, 1931, to Jack and Delphina Ortega Curry in Montoya, NM where she was raised.
She graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1949 and Married Jeff Ward on November 19, 1950. They had two children, Brent and Rhetta. They lived in Nara Visa, NM, where Jeff was involved in the family ranch and later the bar. For many years she and Jeff were bus drivers for Logan schools. Ivy especially enjoyed the bus kids. She was dedicated to taking care of her yard and was active in the Nara Visa community. Ivy was a faithful Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Delphina Curry; her husband, Jeff Ward; brothers, Jic Curry and Bronc Curry; sisters, Edith Dibble, Bonnie Worsham, and Nomi Thomas; and sisters-in-law, Joan Gholson and Tink Nixon.
Survivors include her children, Brent Ward and wife Gizelle, of Logan, NM, and Rhetta Good and husband Gary, of Marana, AZ; grandchildren, Brandon Ward and wife Teala of Princeton, IL and their children, Harper and Peyton; Jordan Ward and wife Amberly of Clayton, NM and their children, Eme and Kobyn; T.J. Good and wife Ashley, and their children, Lacy and Ty of Marietta, OK; and Chance Good and his son, Callan, of Albuquerque, NM.
