James (Jim) William Blucher

James William (Jim) Blucher, 87, of Amarillo, died Monday, September 7, 2026.

Jim was born October 5, 1938 in Fairfield, Iowa to James Everett and Lavona Blucher. After his high school graduation, Jim joined the Iowa National Guard where he served for six years. Jim was a professional truck driver for Walmart. He was also a dirt track race car driver and had a great love for cars. His hobby centered around antique tractors where he was an active member of the Panhandle Antique Tractor Association. Jim was a former member of the Corvette Club of Amarillo.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Ashley and Abby Blucher; brother, Gary and sister-in-law, Linda.

Jim is survived by daughter, Crystal Blucher; son, Donnie Blucher both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 14, 2026 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
