Jeffrey Brent Houchin, 65, of Fort Worth, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount in Amarillo, with Murray Gossett, Associate Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodnight Cemetery in Goodnight, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jeff was born January 17, 1959, in Canyon, Texas to Bobby K. and Charlotte (Young) Houchin. He graduated from Amarillo High School and West Texas State University in Canyon. Jeff had an entrepreneurial spirit. When he was in high school, he started a car detailing business and was always looking for ways to be successful. He worked for Actuaries & Associates as a Pension Consultant for many years. Jeff loved to play golf, and he loved to garden. If you went to his house, he always wanted you to see his beautiful flowers. Jeff was a kindhearted person who would help anyone in need, no matter the situation. Jeff was a member of the Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

Jeff was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Houchin, a sister, Elizabeth Shelton and her husband, Eugene Shelton. 

Jeff is survived by two daughters, Nicole Chand of Fort Worth, Texas and Jenny Ann Phillips and husband Keith of Midland, Texas; his parents, Bob and Charlotte Houchin of Amarillo, TX; one brother Bobby Houchin, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, two sisters, Donna Marsello and husband Paul of Fort Worth, and Jennifer Lunn and husband Luke of Amarillo; his sister-law, Rita Houchin of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, Sofia Shipman, Atticus Chand, Thaddeus Chand, Emily Proby, Caleb Rincones and Noah Phillips.
