Jeremy Lynn Hunley, 48, of Amarillo, TX went peacefully from this life to his eternal life Monday, August 11, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at home.
Jeremy was born August 18, 1976, in Amarillo to Johnny and Sheila (Fesser) Hunley. He graduated from Randall High School in 1995. He went on to be a volunteer firefighter and EMT at Osage Fire Department and then Randall County Fire Department, Hereford EMS and Amarillo Medical Services. He worked at Owens Corning for over 10 years. He then obtained his Home Inspector license and eventually became a Master Inspector. He won Best of Amarillo for 9 years in a row. He met April on match.com in 2005 and married in 2006. They have 2 daughters – Shelby and Addison. Shelby and Addison were the light of his life.
Jeremy loved to fish and hunt, especially with his family. He also loved helping people, would stop what he was doing and lend a hand when needed. It did not matter if it was friend, family, neighbor or stranger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law, Gene Clack.
Survivors include his wife, April Hunley; his two daughters, Shelby Lynn Hunley and Addison Jean Hunley; parents, Johnny and Sheila Hunley; siblings – Teresa and her husband Randy Conant and their kids Brittany Bates and her husband Lundy, Austin, Kanon, Kendal, and Kross; brother John Hunley, his wife Jennifer, and their kids Jordan, Angela and her husband Jeff, Tanner, Megan and her husband Tristen, and Ethan. He was also close to his in-laws who loved him, including Sandra Clack, Max Hirrill and his wife Cindy, brothers John Hirrill and his wife Kay, Jeff Clack and his wife Jordan, and James Clack and his wife Kaila. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:30-7:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Amarillo, TX.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Living Water Christian Fellowship, 10100 HWY 60, in Canyon, TX, with Pastors Shane Neese and David Bagell officiating.
