Jerrod Ray Sharp

Jerrod Ray Sharp, 58, of Amarillo, TX passed away August 21, 2026.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jerrod was born August 30, 1967 in Lubbock, TX to Elmer and Dorothy Sharp. Jerrod met his wife Charlotte in 1985 and married in 1988.

He worked for BNSF Railroad starting as a brakeman and later an engineer. He was set to retired in 2027. Jerrod would do anything or give anything to anyone he met. He never once judged a person and was a very private man. Jerrod was always there when anyone needed him. He was a loyal and dependable friend. He bought a Harley Davidson in 2014; he was hooked and in turn, he found his brothers, Roger Dale, Dale, Bill, Pony, Ricky, Ronnie, and James. They along with their wives became instant family.

Jerrod will forever be missed. He was and still is, loved.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Sharp; sister, Marilynn Knight; brother, Ollan Sharp; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann; and daughter in law, Raynie Sharp.

Jerrod is survived by his wife, Charlotte Sharp; children, Jesse and Kurt Neel, Jaimie Sharp, and Stormy and Keeli; grandchildren, Braden, Mason, Millie, Jaiclyn, and Paisley; brothers and sisters, Johnny and Paula, Charles and Mary, and Tonya and Joe; family of brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
