Jerry was born in Springer, New Mexico and lived in Gladstone, New Mexico all his life until 2023, when they moved to Amarillo at retirement. He grew up working his family's ranch in Gladstone, eventually buying it from his parents at their retirement. He learned how to work on wells and windmills on the family ranch and eventually grew that into his own business, Jerry's Well Service. He worked a large area of northeastern New Mexico and southeastern Colorado. He was also volunteer fire fighter until his retirement.
Jerry married Sue Robinson in January 1985 and took on and loved her three heathen children as his own. They enjoyed hunting for arrowheads around the area and Jerry had a pretty good collection at one point. They enjoyed "going dancing" on Saturday nights, visiting with friends and listening to their good friend Sam play music. They often went on "world tours," driving around the country and visiting friends and family. They also enjoyed many cruises over the years, on their own and with good friends, and enjoyed seeing the different parts of the world.
One of Jerry's greatest joys was his grandchildren. At various times, all the kids spent extended periods at the ranch with their grandparents, and when Sue was working, he assumed total responsibility of the kids. He got them up and ready for the day, fed them, took them to work with him, whatever that entailed at the time, cleaned them up at the end of the day and put them to bed again. And they all lived to tell the tale!
He was preceded in death by mother, Lois Maye Oyler Bada; and father, Albert Paul Bada.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Bada, of Amarillo, TX; sister, Colleen Neely of Richland, MS; brother, Ronnie Bada and wife Cynthia, of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Lee Robinson and wife Lois, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Kasie Robinson, of Amarillo, TX; son, Bart Robinson and wife Angela, of Edgewood, NM; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
