At a very young age the family moved to Amarillo, where Jerry lived out the rest of his life. Shortly after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and after active duty he served in the Naval Reserves for two years.
Following several jobs, Jerry found his "job" home at The First National Bank where he worked in maintenance for over 20 years until his retirement. He loved his First National Bank family and made many lasting friends.
Jerry was a lifelong car enthusiast and took a special interest in antique vehicles. He was a member of the Old School Car Club and a past member of the Corvette Club.
Jerry remained active through the years and was a member of the Silver Sneakers Exercise Class which he attended twice a week. He was proud to be the only male member of the class. Though he didn't look his age he got a kick out of telling people he was 105yrs. old just to see the look on their face.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brother Jim. He is survived by many cousins and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jerry's honor may be made to Meals on Wheels.
