Jimmy D. Lasley, 75, of Amarillo, Texas passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Hartley Cemetery. There will be a meal afterwards at Hartley Christian Fellowship Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jimmy was born on May 13, 1950, in Amarillo, TX, to Gerald Leon Lasley and Lilla Christine Lasley. Jimmy went to grade school in Hartley, TX and finished high school at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri. After graduating he attended TCU for the farm and ranch program. He then went on to attend Clarendon College and decided farming was where he needed to be, so he returned to the family farm. He later moved to Orlando, FL and was there for numerous years before returning to Amarillo, TX.
Jimmy enjoyed everything about farming, flying, and military history. He could talk for hours about farming and enjoyed driving around to farm sales and seeing how much farming had changed over the years.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter Alicia and husband Brian Bezner. Two grandchildren, Harley and husband Wyatt Banks and William Bezner. Three great-grandchildren Callyn, Raegan and Coulter Banks. Two sisters, Imma Jeanne Alexander and Linda Jo and husband Paul Galvan. A niece, Elizabeth and husband Steve Cumbie. Two nephews, Richard and wife Lori Massey and Gerald Paul Massey. Four great nieces and nephews, Mason, Rachel and husband Ant, Villi, Casten, Landri, Dulaney and Gerald Paul Jr.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Leon Lasley and Lilla Christine Williams Lasley, and sibling, Jerri Marie Lasley.
