Jimmy Lee Payne, 74, of Amarillo, Texas died Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jimmy was born on November 25, 1951, in Hereford, Texas, to John and Rosanel Payne. He was raised in the Texas Panhandle and graduated from Happy High School in 1970.

On March 27, 1971, Jimmy married the love of his life, Becky Farris. Together they shared a lifetime of love and raised three wonderful children: Shaunda Bolden and husband Jason, Shanon Payne and wife Miranda, and Justin Payne and wife Nicole.

Jimmy was a proud Granddad to Farris Payne and wife Britani, Garrett Payne and wife Erica, Wilson Anders and wife Elinor, Laken Payne, and Raider Payne. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Olivia Payne, Saylor Payne, and one great-grandchild on the way.

He is survived by his siblings: Larry Payne and wife Ann, Elizabeth Bizzell and husband Gail, Barbara Shipman and husband Thomas, and Johnny Payne and wife Becky.

Jimmy spent many years working throughout the Panhandle with Affiliated Foods and Ben E. Keith, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Jimmy loved traveling, laughing and being together with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosanel Payne, and his great-grandchildren, Stetson Payne and Riley Payne.

Jimmy will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a hardworking man who deeply loved his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

We love you dearly, and we will see you at supper time.
