Jimmy Jack Uptergrove Sr. passed away July 27, 2026.

Visitation will be from 4:30-6:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Interment will be at 12:00 PM in Claude Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jimmy was born January 6, 1940 in Spearman, TX. He was a graduate of Stinnett High School. Jimmy married Ethie Rowena Hunt. He was a rancher and attended Rise Up Kingdom Ministries.

He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Uptergrove; mother, Joyce Hester; sisters, Norma Titus and Sharon Brooks; brother-in-law, Donald Lee Titus; and nephew, Casey Uptergrove.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ethie; daughter, Kimberly Dozier and husband Scott of Pearland, TX; son, Jimmy Uptergrove and wife Janet of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Kirsten Estes and husband Bryce, Keaton Kubicek of League City, TX, Kailee Basso and husband Tyler, Jynna Harris and husband Blaine, and Cole Cleveland and wife Kara; great-grandchildren, Kason, Kynlee, Ryder, Pepper, Weston, and Annslee; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Ann Uptergrove and family; sister, Linda West and family; brother-in-law, Rex Brooks and family.
