Joe Wayne Dennis

Joe Wayne Dennis, 64, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on January 23, 2026.

Services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Joe Dennis was born on July 22, 1961, in Hollis, Oklahoma.

Joe proudly served in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1987, attaining the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. He served as a cryptologic technician, with assignments in West Virginia and San Diego, California. Following his military service, he graduated from West Texas State University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Joe was a dedicated and hardworking professional. He spent many years as a licensed Realtor, eventually starting his own company, and later founded another business that he continued to run until his final days. His strong work ethic and determination defined much of his life. Known for his kindness and reliability, Joe deeply cared for his family and friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. Above all else, Joe lived for his daughter who was the center of his world and his greatest joy and most recently his grandson Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Harp, and a daughter, Lyndsey Taylor Dennis.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Dennis of the home; his mother Pat Ruddy and husband Neil of Amarillo; daughter, Katie Bryant and husband Will of Kyle, TX; grandson, Hudson Bryant; brother, Brent Dennis of Amarillo; and brother Robert Harp and wife Twylla of Amarillo. He was also survived by multiple cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces who loved him greatly.
