John Brent Bell

John Brent Bell, 65, of Amarillo, TX passed away July 7, 2026.

Memorial service will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

John was born January 3, 1961 in Canyon, TX to John and Dorothy Bell. He attended school in Claude later graduating from Caprock High School. John was a skilled mechanic for dirtbikes, cars, and V-22 at Bell Helicopter for over 10 years. He was also a prison guard at the Clements Unit. John loved shooting guns, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, and tinkering with cars. Anything outdoors immediately caught his attention, and he religiously watched NFL Football; never missing a Dallas Cowboys game!

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John Phillip Bell and Alan Bell.

John is survived by his sons, Colby Bell and his son, Carter of Runaway Bay, TX and John Hunter Bell of Waxahachie, TX; brother, John Mark Bell (Diana) of Amarillo, TX; and sisters, Lauren Bell (David) of Maine and Melinda Swires (Tim)of Tennessee.
