JoLee Lynn Turpin Micheau

JoLee Lynn Turpin Micheau, 54, was born on October 27, 1971, in Glendale, California and passed away on April 22, 2026 in Amarillo, Texas.

JoLee was raised in Hugoton, Kansas on a farm and graduated from Hugoton High School in 1990.

JoLee attended Xenon Cosmetology School, a path that reflected her natural ability to connect with others, she built a large clientele and many claimed she was the most talented hairdresser around. She built her life around her family and the relationships that mattered most to her.

She was married to Brian Micheau and was the mother of Tyler Romero and his wife, Katherine, of Kansas City; Logan Romero and his wife, Bailey, of Kansas City; Marissa Holsted and her husband, Floyd, of Kansas City; and Dawson Romero of Hugoton, Kansas. She was also a proud grandmother, known as ‘Nonni’ to Willa Romero, Aria Romero, Asher Romero, and Jentry Holsted.

JoLee is survived by her mother, Linda Brown and her husband, Clinton, of Adrian, Texas; her brother, Sam Turpin and his wife Deana, of Canyon, Texas; her husband, Brian Micheau, of Adrian, Texas; her children; and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Dean Turpin; her brother, Paul Douglas Turpin; her paternal grandparents, Edward and Laveta Turpin; and her maternal grandparents, Stonewall Jackson Comer and Clara Jo Comer.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26th, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Vega, Texas. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 27th, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
