Jose "Joe" Sanchez

Jose “Joe” Sanchez, 76, of Dumas, TX passed away January 19, 2026.

Family will receive friends from 5 - 6:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Joe was born March 19, 1949 in Mexico to Antonio and Noemi Sanchez. He had lived in Dumas, TX since 1984. Joe worked for the City of Dumas, City of Cactus, and most recently for Nutrient AG Solutions. He loved to play golf, deer hunt, and spend time with family. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Dumas.

He is preceded in death by Cruz Sanchez, Noemi Sanchez, Shaedara Sanchez, Frankie Sanchez, and Adam Flores.

Joe is survived by daughters, Diane Sanchez of Amarillo, TX, Mary Lisa Sanchez, Velma Bittick, Jennifer Sanchez Solis and husband Patrick all of Amarillo, TX, and Hayden Sanchez of Dumas, TX; son, Joe Anthony Sanchez and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, TX; father, Antonio Sanchez of Del Rio, TX; sisters, Paula Sanchez, Rosa Villanueva, Tonie Sanchez, and Mary Sanchez; brother, Jessie Sanchez; and former wife, Socorro Sanchez.
