Joyce Lichtenwald

Joyce Lichtenwald, 86, of White Deer, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Private services will be held. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Joyce was born June 8, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa to Harvey and Mable (Paulsen) Fude. She worked for Oscar Myer for over thirty years in Davenport and later cleaned houses in Lake Beaver, Arkansas. She loved to shop, practice yoga, and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Ray Smith and Rodney Wade Smith.

Survivors include husband, Gary Lichtenwald; son, Tim Smith; daughter, Jody Franklin; and three grandchildren, Dillon Smith, Lacie Cathey, and Stephanie Taylor.
