Juan "Willie" Manuel Quintero

Juan “Willie” Manuel Quintero, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 6, 2025.

Viewing will be held and Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers 2800 Paramount Blvd Amarillo, Texas. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Willie was born October 18, 1952 in Amarillo, TX to Manuel G. Quintero and Olivia Lucero Palacio. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1970. He married Judy Mary Romero on February 17, 1973. He was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Willie worked for Santa Fe Railroad, drove semi-truck for Tom’s Snack, worked for Amarillo Road, and owned a small store “Snacks to Go”. He also catered for Panhandle Nationals Wrestling tournament for many years. He owned Barrio Video Store for many years and was a member of Knights of Columbus in his younger years. He was very competitive in his bowling league with his wife.

No one was a stranger, he loved people. Willie loved his wife very much and nothing was more important to him than his family, especially his grandkids. He was a storyteller and would tell you anything about him, just ask! Willie would always help where he could.

Willie was a devoted and faithful Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to play the lottery, coach little league, and play on the men’s softball league.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Manuel; mom Olivia; and daughter, Monica Quintero.

Willie is survived by his wife Judy Quintero; daughters, Yvette Diaz and husband Ryan, Christina Quintero, Veronica Jalomo and husband JJ, Leticia Groen and husband Mark; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Zepeda, Margie Quintero and husband Pat Mestas, Joann Curiel, Rosa Zuniga and husband Bert; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Rusty and Lala.
