Juanita Faye Henderson

Juanita Faye Henderson of Amarillo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 80.

Juanita was born December 19, 1945, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to William and Eartha McMillion.

In 1993, Juanita married the love of her life, Donald Wayne “Don” Henderson. The two shared a love of adventure and traveled throughout the world together. Juanita especially loved Hawaii and cruising, and some of her happiest adventures were spent flying through the skies and diving into the ocean with him. They were true companions who delighted in experiencing the world together.

Juanita was elegant, fiercely loyal to her family, and deeply devoted to her church community. She was also wonderfully funny and a gifted storyteller. Juanita could draw a crowd simply by beginning a story, and those who knew her will remember the laughter that inevitably followed. She had a way of making an ordinary memory unforgettable, and her stories will continue to be told by the family and friends who loved her.

Her faith and her family were central to her life. She loved deeply and treasured the friendships and fellowship she found at Middlepoint Community Fellowship.

Survivors include her sons, Chad Berg and Chance Berg of Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew her fondly as "Nana."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne “Don” Henderson; her son, Johnny “Chris” Steffen; her sisters, Delphia Grider, Kaye Osborne and Oneda Johnson; and her brothers, Carl McMillion and Harvey McMillion.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Middlepoint Community Fellowship, 6700 W. Rockwell Road, Amarillo, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Middlepoint Community Fellowship in Amarillo, Texas.
