Judith Ann Dodson, age 84, of Fort Worth, TX went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025. There will be a short graveside service Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens of Amarillo, 14200 IH-27 South, Amarillo, TX 79119, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 1208 S. Tyler St, Amarillo, TX 79101, with Rev. Corky Holland officiating.
Judith was born June 2, 1941, in Plainview, TX to the late Wade K. and Mozelle Sweatt Reddell. Judith’s commitment to the Lord was to play the piano, which began at age 4, and continued as an accompanist with various groups throughout her school years. Relocations after marriage resulted in her playing in various church services, weddings and funerals, concerts, and vocal studios.
For seven years, Judith helped her husband, David, lead the music for Sunday services at an Amarillo Senior Home. II Timothy 4:7-8 states, “I have fought the good fight—finished the course--, kept the faith.” This is Judith’s testimony having played 5 years at Christian Fellowship Church, Broadway Cityview Senior Living, receiving her crown of righteousness just hours after her last service.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by son Jonathan Dodson and brother Jim R Reddell. She is survived by her husband of 59 years David Dodson, daughter Ann Marie Dodson, son Forrest (Greg) Dodson, brother Bill Reddell (Penny) of Double Oak, TX, sister Jan McAdams (Jim) of Amarillo, TX, 4 cousins, and 8 nieces and nephews.
