June Colleen Ticer

June Colleen Ticer passed away June 14, 2023. Colleen was born in Childress, Texas on January 23, 1932, to Riley Eudey and Velma Wesley.  She attended school in Childress.

On April 23, 1949, she married Jerry Harvey Ticer.  They lived in Childress until Jerry was drafted into the Army in 1952, and he was stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. When Jerry was discharged from the Army in 1954, they moved back to Childress, where Colleen was a stay-at-home mom.

They moved to Plainview in 1959. Colleen worked as a catalog clerk at Sears for many years.  She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

In 2016, she and Jerry moved to Amarillo, Texas. Colleen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her two children:  Jerry Harvey Ticer, Jr. and wife, Dolores, and Terri Jean Ticer; her two grandchildren: Leah Beck and husband, Bryan; Avery Ticer and wife, Christina; and three great-grandchildren: Bart, Rose,

and June Ticer.

There will be a private family service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a favorite charity.
