Kody Bryce Carlton, 36, of Amarillo, TX, went into the arms of Jesus on August 24, 2025.

Private family visitation will be from 5-6:00 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2025, and public visitation with family will follow from 6:30-7:30 PM, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

The service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Kody was born July 24, 1989, in Amarillo, TX, to Brian and Rose Carlton.

With an adventurous spirit of strength and courage, Kody was a force of unstoppable power and love. Kody was a student at Amarillo High School from 2004-2006. He enjoyed wrestling, taekwondo, MMA, hunting, cooking with his mom and grandma, riding bulls, playing baseball, riding motorcycles, and motocross in his younger years into adulthood. He had a successful career as a carpenter, following in the footsteps of his grandfathers, father, and uncles. Later in life, his interests turned to exploring herbal teas from all over the world, music, drawing, jewelry making, and firearm modifications. His faith was strong, and he often stated that with God's help, he could overcome any challenge. He often spoke of his Grandma Shirley, who instilled in him strong faith in Jesus. He married the love of his life, Trina, on September 29, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Shirley Carlton, and Don and Jean Kennedy.

Survivors include his wife, Trina L Carlton, of Amarillo, children, Ash Burch and partner Aaron Levario of Plano, Texas, Brittany Castro and husband Bear of Amarillo; Cassidy Burch and wife Clelia, three grandsons, Gregory, Gabriel and Geordi of Sugarland; parents, Brian and Rose Carlton, siblings Maygan Carlton and Matthew Carlton and wife Shelbee, one niece and two nephews all of Amarillo.

His favorite scripture was John 3:16 (KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
