Lewayne "Calvin" Patrick

July 4, 1944 — May 8, 2026

Amarillo

Lewayne “Calvin” Patrick, 81, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia, surrounded by the love of his family.

Lewayne was born on July 4, 1944, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to Mary Christine Magness and Joseph Augusta Patrick. Though life carried him many places, Amarillo, Texas remained home in his heart for most of his life before spending his final years in Georgia near family.

For 62 years, Lewayne shared a devoted marriage with the love of his life, Malinda Ann Kimble Patrick. Together they built a life centered around faith, family, hard work, and enduring commitment. Their marriage was the steady kind that becomes part of the foundation of an entire family tree.

Lewayne was a businessman in real estate and carried himself with quiet determination, wisdom, and a deep sense of responsibility. He enjoyed church life, traveling, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves. But above all else, he loved his family. Nothing brought him greater pride than being surrounded by the people he loved most.

He is loved by his beloved wife, Malinda Patrick; his children, Jerry Patrick, Jason Patrick, and April Patrick; grandchildren Danielle, Austin, Kavri, and Collier; and great-grandchildren London and Brooklyn; and niece, Linda and Husband Kelvin.

Those who knew Lewayne will remember his steady presence, his devotion to his family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so deeply and in the many lives he touched along the way.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Southlawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors in Amarillo, Texas.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
