Lillian ‘Audrey’ Holman

October 15, 1930 – August 15, 2026

I have travelled to many countries and lived in many places, but have always thought of myself as “The Girl from Winnipeg.”

Winnipeg is where I was born, christened, confirmed, and educated. 1953 was the year I married “The Boy from Winnipeg” – Jerry Holman. We were married in the same Lutheran church and by the same Lutheran minister who married my parents – Henry and Emma Schilling. My younger brother, Rudy, made up this family of four.

Our children, Kevin, Cathryn, Mark, and Jeffrey, have been such a gift and, along with their families, have filled my life with gratitude and joy. To them and my 1952 Winnipeg General Hospital classmates – “Blest be the tie that binds.”

I thank you all for being with me on my journey.

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go – others stay awhile, make footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same.”- Audrey Holman

The family would like to thank Patricia Martinez; Dianne Reinschmidt; all the wonderful caregivers and employees at The Moore at Park Central; and Lisa Forbis and her team at BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their loving care, kindness, and compassion. You always made sure our mom felt safe, loved, and comfortable. We are eternally grateful to all of you.

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest or Habitat for Humanity.
