Linda Marie Watkins

October 21, 1953 — June 8, 2024

Linda Marie Watkins went home to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by family on June 8, 2024.

Linda was born October 21,1953 in Worcester, MA to Eugene Roland, Sr. and Ruth Ada Brouillette.

She often said her greatest accomplishments were giving her life to Christ and becoming a mother. Linda’s spirit was renewed when she realized that Jesus loved her, and His goal was to save us rather than condemn us. A highlight of her faith was a trip to the Holy Lands in 2019. She was thrilled to rededicate her life through baptism in the Jordan River. She was an active member at Harvest Connexion Church and in the Bethel Prayer group. She was passionate about the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit.

Linda treasured family, both blood relatives and others that she claimed as her own. Many that walked into her life became a part of the family that she built. She was overwhelmed with God’s blessing of being a mother to Matt. She and Matt walked through many of life’s trials and experienced great joys together. Becoming Meme was a new level of extreme joy that Linda experienced. Her time with Micah and recently with Levi was spent blowing bubbles, on grand walking adventures, and hard-core belly laughs. These times will be deeply missed.

Linda lived a life of servanthood, working for many years as a caregiver. Her patients valued the love and care that she showered over them. Linda was very passionate about her country. She was a first generation American of French and German immigrant parents. She was devoted to her political beliefs and never missed an opportunity to support her values.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene, Jr. and Ruth Ada Brouillette; brothers Chuck Brouillette and Paul Brouillette.

Linda is survived by her son, Matt and wife Krisann Watkins; precious grandsons, Micah and Levi; sister, Sandra and husband David May; brother, Eugene Brouillette, Jr.; niece, Tara Brazzle; nephew, Ben Brouillette; and “simply” Red Watkins.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-7:00 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at Harvest Connexion Church.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
