Lisa Lynn Jones, a pioneering broadcaster, editor, and co-founder of RADIO ONLINE and radioonline.com, passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 67, following complications from pneumonia. Her passing marked the end of an eight-year journey with cancer, fought with grace and determination.

Lisa began her broadcasting and journalism career in 1977 while attending West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. In 1979, she met her future husband and business partner, Ron Jones, during an interview with the San Diego Chicken. The couple married in 1980, and she joined KGNC-AM & FM in Amarillo. They later relocated to Memphis in 1981, where Lisa worked at WMC-FM (FM100) and later at the legendary WDIA-AM.

In 1984, Lisa and Ron launched Supertraxx Production-Services, producing national radio and TV spots for the live concert and radio industries. Their shared passion for broadcasting and technology led to the founding of RADIO ONLINE in 1989, where Lisa served as Senior Editor and co-created signature features like the Daily Show Prep, a staple for radio professionals around the globe.

Lisa had a deep creative spirit beyond broadcasting. She wrote and published independent comics, and was even drawn into a Batman comic under her professional name, Lisa Chase. She was also a longtime gamer, science fiction enthusiast, and a woman of faith who held strong Christian beliefs.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Miller Hill Fountain, in 1998, and her estranged father in 2017.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ron Jones; her aunt, Muriel Davis; cousins Bruce Davis, Ronny Davis, and Deidre Moore; second cousins Cozette Kosary, Nicole Neis, and Ryan Wiley; her stepdaughter, Christi Abel, and her husband, Shane Abel; her mother-in-law, Barbara Jones; her sister-in-law, Vicki Fuller, and her husband, Steve Fuller; her nephew, Colten Morgan, and his wife, Amanda; her niece, Torri Monk, and her husband, Jerod; and her two beloved cats, Leo and Rey.
