Mancel Ganus Skelton, 87, of Amarillo, TX, died Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX. Burial will be at Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, TX at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Mancel was born March 14, 1939, in Ballinger, TX to Seaborn H. and Essie Mae (Waldrop) Skelton. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lee and parents Seaborn H. and Essie Mae Skelton, as well as sisters Mary Orenta Boden, Vira Lorene Miles, and Dorsay Janice Morton.

Survivors include his daughters Cindy Liesenfelt and husband Jerome of Richardson, TX;

Sherry Whitaker and husband Larry of Paris, TX; son, T.J. Skelton and wife Andrea of Piedmont, OK; brother Stancel Lanus Skelton of San Jose, CA; grandchildren Tory Liesenfelt, Allison Sparks, Kevin Whitaker, David Whitaker, Drew Skelton, and Alex Skelton; great-grandchildren Erin Sparks, Cade Sparks, and Lily Liesenfelt; brother-in-law Ted Saunders and sister-in-law Nancy Whitehorn.
