Mardee Ladean Matlack

July 2, 1969 — December 5, 2025

Mardee Ladean Matlack, revered as a pillar of strength, ingenuity and hard work, passed away on December 5, 2025. Mardee was born July 2, 1969, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Manhattan, KS to Renda McManis and Robert Plummer. Mardee was known for warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into this world.

Mardee will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Anthony and Haley Matlack, her life partner Roger Wilson, her bonus son Ross Wilson and wife Jessica, her grandchildren Natalie and Rourke Wilson, her mother Renda and husband Bryan, her father Robert and wife Virginia, her brother James Plummer and wife Autumn, her brother Dan Plummer and wife Rachel Plummer-Gooldy, her sister Abbie Plummer and fiance David Heck, her nephews Ryan & Kiptyn Plummer, her niece Kaitlyn, and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, chosen family, and pets.

She is preceded in rest by her grandparents Betty and Roy McManis, her grandmothers Katherine Eikenhorst and Hazel Cornellison, grandfather Willard Plummer, her aunts Kathy Snyder, Mary Noland, Connie Hartloff, her uncles Rodney McManis and Bill Plummer, along with many cousins and other loved ones. With a large family tree consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Mardee’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.

Among Mardee’s most considerable accomplishments was raising her two children, whom she held as her pride and joy, and building the business of her dream, ReuZe It Again. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even with little to spare, Mardee continued to give and help others. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held on December 20, 2025. The memorial will be at 2:00pm at the Wilson-Beaty Gun Range located at 30000 S FM 1705, Canyon, Tx. Please wear comfy shoes, as Mardee would have, and bring a chair if you are able to do so. Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00pm at 7500 Autumn Dr, Canyon, Tx.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations for keeping Mardee’s dream, ReuZe it Again, operating and for the care of the people, dogs and cats she had taken under her wing over the years.

Donations can be made at her store, ReuZe It Again, located at 1513 4th Ave, Canyon, Tx.

Mardee’s loss is felt deeply by her immense family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire love in those whose lives she touched.
