Marion "Jack" Owens

Marion Jack Owens, 92, of Perryton, TX was welcomed into the arms of his savior on July 25, 2026.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Community Worship Center in Perryton, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Jack was born September 6, 1933 in Clyde, TX to Richard Clyde Owens and Callie Gerturde Franklin Owens. He attended school in Baird and Big Springs, Texas and went to college at WT University in Amarillo. He was the truck superintendent for Baker & Taylor Drilling Company and for Hodges Trucking. He later became the owner and operator of a flag car service until retirement.

Jack loved sports of all kinds, but the Texas Longhorns held a very special place in his heart. He loved it when the Longhorns were playing, and he supported them whether they were winning or losing.

He leaves behind his wife and love of his life, Wyona Owens; daughters, Patsy Valentine (Lane), Darrie Francis (Andy), Brenda Lair, Debra Cook; sons, Rick Randall and Michael Owens; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
