Mary Stidger

Mary Stidger, age 94 went to her eternal home on August 31, 2025.

She was born to Alvin Fain and Lottie Prince on January 20, 1931 in Lamesa, TX.

Mary was a bookkeeper for different businesses for many years. She primarily kept books for car dealerships and was known for her skill and precision in her work. On May 1st, 1987, she married George Stidger. They had a loving and wonderful life together and enjoyed their extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Stidger, her brothers Hugh Fain and Allen Fain, her sister Anna Lee Vest, and granddaughter Jessica Stidger.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Horton, son Andy, grandchildren, Brandon Neely and wife Erin ( Jackson, Ella Jane, Grace Neely) Jacob Neely and wife April ( Riley Kyle, Logan Kyle, Makenzie Neely, Autumn Neely), AJ Neely and wife Holly Neely ( Kendall Neely, Wesley Neely, Josiah Neely) Andrea Stidger (Kevin Anthony Stidger, Summer Nicole Miller, Landon Charles Miller, Wesdevon Pearson)She was thoroughly loved by her grandkids and many great grandchildren, always making time to hug on them and tell them how beautiful they were. She was everyone’s favorite aunt and remembered for her grace and kindness. Also survived by her friend Tres Tucker who faithfully went and saw her every week when she became unable to care for herself and was in a nursing facility.

Many thanks to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home. Private graveside service will be held in her honor at a later date.
