Mercedes Adrian Courtney Huffman

Mercedes Adrian Courtney Huffman, 22, of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 18, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 28, 2022, at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy Rd., with Greg Corona officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mercedes was born in El Paso, TX on October 18, 2000, to William B. Huffman Jr. and Tammy Huffman. She was known as Sady by her family and as Meche by her beloved friends.

She grew up a military brat until the age of 16. By the age of 7, Sady had traveled to many parts of the world, but her love for travel did not stop there. She loved to read books and go to the beach.

Sady was of strong Christian faith which shown in everything she did. She was loving and kind. She loved her mother who was also her best friend. She dedicated herself to helping others and putting them first. She was dependable and a very hard worker. Sady had the most beautiful and contagious smile and a compassionate spirit. Her smile could light up the whole room and was hard to miss. A smile was always on her face, and it made others smile as well. Sady was loved dearly by her friends. She made an impact on everyone’s life. She was one of the most beautiful old souls we have ever known.

One of her greatest passions in life was rescuing animals. She loved all animals and had her own pet room which included guinea pigs, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, and geckos.

Sady was a sophomore in college at West Texas A&M University. She was planning to go to Veterinary School to fulfil her ultimate dream of having her own animal sanctuary which she would create alongside her mom, and the twenty animals she already had.

Sady worked at Teddy Jack’s where she did just about everything. She started as a host moved up to expo, server, bartender, learned the kitchen, and eventually became a key manager.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Andrea Huffman.

She is survived by her mother, Tammy Huffman; father, William B. Huffman Jr.; brother, Jason Radca; aunts, Tonya Henry, Teresa Huffman, and Melissa Huffman; uncles, Tim Henry, Steve Petroff and Ricky Petroff; maternal grandparents, Steve Petroff and Betty Petroff; and paternal grandpa, William Huffman Sr.
