Mickey Allen Thomas

Mickey Allen Thomas, 79, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2026.

Mickey was born on September 10, 1946, in Amarillo, Texas, to Betty Lou (Bronniman) and Louis James Thomas.

Mickey earned an engineering degree from Texas Tech University and built a distinguished 44-year career with Halliburton Services. A man of deep roots and wide passions, he was a lifetime committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — a role that reflected his lifelong love of Texas tradition. In his time away from work, Mickey could be found hunting, fishing, golfing, or on the dance floor. He was, above all, a devoted husband, father, and friend who left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Betty Thomas, and his wife, Shirley Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Thoms; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cynthia Thomas; his daughters, Holly Thomas and Heather Thomas and her wife Sarah Thomas; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Gentry, and Brecken.

Private family services will be held.
