Mikel “Mike” Sterlin Weston Bradford, 87, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 29, 2025.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mike was born February 10, 1938 in Ropesville, TX to Johnny and Natharee Bradford. He enjoyed racing cars as a young man. Mike married Sandra Hedgecoke on July 17, 1988 in Etter, TX. Mike began working as an iron worker assisting in building the Rio Grand Gorge outside of Taos, NM. He owned and operated a custom harvesting business which led him into the trucking industry, where he hauled live cattle and boxed beef, building a company of over 70 trucks. When Mike retired, he and Sandra moved to Durango, CO where they lived for 13 years. Together, they raised show llamas and travelled all over the country, even owning camels and alpacas some of which were grand champions. Mike also attended South Georgia Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Natharee Bradford; and brothers, Eual Bradford and Sam Bradford.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Bradford; daughter, Pam Bradford of Amarillo, TX; son, Greg Bradford of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, T.J. Robbins and wife Camille of Dalhart, TX and Amanda Davis and husband Paul of Amarillo, TX; great-grandchildren, Blane, Reid, Betton, and Wynn; and siblings, Pat Bradford of Hereford, TX, Nicky Anderson and husband Dave of Kerrville, TX, and Glenda Sue Robbs of Orlando, FL.
The family suggests memorials be made to Boys Ranch or a charity of your choice.
