Moselle Alden Ford, 86, of Amarillo, Texas passed away August 30, 2025.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept.6th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at First Christian Church, located at 3001 Wolflin Ave. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Moselle was born in Odessa, Texas on July 2, 1939 to Mose and Nita Alden. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1957 and went on to earn her Bachelors and Masters degrees at UTEP, formerly known as Texas Western.
Moselle taught at Amarillo College for 33 years as an English professor. She was active in the community and a member of P.E.O., Delta Kappa Gamma (Zeta Delta), and the Junior League of Amarillo. She served on the Opportunity School Friends Board, the Amarillo College Adult Student Programs Committee, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and previously on the boards of the Y.W.C.A., Children’s Rehab Center, and Camp Fire.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Amarillo where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir and taught youth Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and many loved ones and friends.
Moselle is survived by her daughters Julie Copple of Dallas, Laura Ford of Lewisville, and Becca Abercrombie and husband Rob of Huntsville, Alabama; her sister Julie Flowers of Odessa, and brother Gary Alden and wife Linda of Kingwood; grandchildren Will Copple and Caroline Copple of Dallas, and Ford Abercrombie and Elle Abercrombie of Huntsville, Alabama.
Moselle was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved Jesus, family, friends, and her community.
