Nikki West Roberson

Nikki West Roberson, 53, of Amarillo, TX passed away July 14, 2025.

Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at The Church of Christ at the Colonies, 4500 Wesley Rd. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Nikki was born April 23, 1972 in Borger, TX to Phillip Craig West and Donna Jean Phillips. She graduated from Sanford Fritch High School in 1990 and grew up in the church. After high school, she attended West Texas A & M University eventually earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She had her oldest son Colby in 1991 while attending classes at WT. Nikki bought a tanning salon, worked as a vet tech and later purchased “The Pampered Pooch” owning it well over 20 years.

She met her husband Ty in college when Colby was just a little boy. Eventually they started dating and later married in January of 2006. In May of 2006, she had her second child Hailey followed by Rhett in 2011.

Nikki lived a happy life and had many friends along the way. She could make friends anywhere she went. Nikki was family-oriented, her best friend being her daughter, Hailey. Anyone who knew Nikki also knew Hailey, they were inseparable. Nikki was her own boss and could never have her mind change once it was made up. She had a kind heart and helped everyone around her. She always had a bright smile that lit up the room. Nikki tried to see the good in things regardless of the situation. She was VERY talkative and always there to give her advice even if you didn’t want to hear it. She loved animals from a young age and never failed at taking care of them. Her whole life revolved around animals’ day and night. Nikki loved going to concerts and travelling. She had a passion for cars- one would say “a need for speed”, if it was pretty and fast, that was her style!

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Madge (Claudie) West; Carlene (Bill) Phillips; and father, Phillip West.

Nikki is survived by her mother and stepfather Donna and Kelly Nichols; husband, Ty Roberson; children, Colby Hart, Hailey Roberson, and Rhett Roberson; brothers, Brad West and Matthew West; aunt, Beth Pennington and her husband James; cousin, Jan Pennington; and many additional family and friends.
