Noah Curtis Mireles

September 27, 1999 — April 25, 2026

Noah Curtis Mireles, 26, of Amarillo, Texas, was fully healed into eternal glory with his Father in heaven on April 25, 2026. Noah was born on September 27, 1999, in Amarillo, Texas, to Karla Celeste Stubbs.

Noah was born a gentle giant with a tender heart and mischievous smile. He greatly valued community and participated in a variety of hobbies, including sports, church, and consistent outings with family and friends. Athletically, Noah grew up playing football, basketball, and track & field. In football, Noah stood head and shoulders above his peers, so much so that it was often questioned if he was a coach hiding in pads. In high school, Noah found his passion as a competitor in discus and shot put. Academically, Noah graduated high school from San Jacinto Christian Academy in 2019. Following graduation, he went on to attend Abilene Christian University and Tulsa welding school, where he discovered his love for being a tradesman and desired a career in underwater welding. Spiritually, Noah’s faith walk began at Golden Plains Church of Christ. His faith grew and he was discipled at Southwest and Colonies Churches of Christ. He gave his life and professed his faith through baptism on November 22, 2009. In recent months, he fellowshipped at Golden Plains Church of Christ. His faith was a consistent anchor in his life, and he held his beliefs dearly. Socially, what Noah loved the most was spending valuable time with his community of family and friends. He cherished strong friendships and the deep conversations that they had, often expressing how much he reflected on these talks. One of his favorite pastimes was online gaming with his best buddies. Noah’s most treasured moments were held within his home and those of his extended family. He loved nothing more than time with his Pops and Gamma, cousins, spending hours playing video games, sharing meals, and having light-hearted talks with his family that he loved so deeply. Above all, the bond between his mother, sister, and him was one of fierce love, protection, and dedication.

Noah loved traveling to beaches and the mountains. He really enjoyed road trips, but especially ones to his grandfather’s family home in Pennsylvania. He had a profound sense of humor and often enjoyed his own jokes to the point of tears. His lovable charm made him a joyful presence in every room he entered. He had strong desires for growth and was actively developing plans for his future involving family and career paths. He was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ and placed all of his hope in his Savior, with whom he has gone home to dwell.

Noah is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nora Mireles. His great-grandparents, Curtis and Sylvia Camp, and Pablo and Victoria Mireles. He is survived by his mother, Karla Stubbs, and his sister, Kloe Mireles. His grandparents, Ron and Gail Stubbs, and Gilbert Mireles. His Aunts and Uncles, Scott and Hollye Stubbs, Todd and Virginia Stubbs, Rob and Yolanda Watters, Martin Soria, Margarito “Big Jr.” Soria, and Brenda Baker. Cousins, Nathan, Madison, Zack, Chase, Dax, Bailey, and numerous beloved Mireles family.

“I am not what I might be, I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I wish to be, I am not what I hope to be. But I thank God, I am not what I once was, and I can say with the great apostle, “By the grace of God, I am what I am.”

John Newton
