Oscar Baeza

Oscar Baeza, 76, of Dumas, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Oscar was born on July 5, 1950 in Ojinaga, Mexico to Jose Baeza Soza and Manuela Machuca. He had worked over thirty years for JBS until retirement. He enjoyed helping KDDD with the Spanish radio station, spending time with his family, going on long walks, visiting his place in the Fort Davis mountains; and attending St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Elizabeth Baeza.

He is survived two daughters, April Bracamontes and husband Googie of Dumas and Yasmin Roman of Dumas; four sisters, Sylvia Nieto and husband Mario, Nena Benvavides, and Imelda Armendariz, all of Presidio, Tx. and Mercedes Baeza of Fort Davis, Tx.; a brother, Mundo Baeza and wife Evagelina of Odessa; and seven grandchildren, Isaiah Baeza, Ariel Bracamontes, Cesar Sanchez, Jahadi Sanchez, Layali Sanchez, Giovanni Sanchez, and Nirvana Hernandez
