Pamela Collins Oberbrockling, 65, of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 15, 2023.

Viewing will be at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Services on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5 – 6:30 PM. The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount.

Pamela was born the daughter of Gene and Maxine Collins on July 16, 1958, in Amarillo, TX. She was raised at Bivins in the Colorado Interstate Gas Company housing from birth until June 1967 when her family moved to Amarillo. She attended Bonham Junior High and then graduated from Amarillo High School in 1976. She began working after graduation at Pioneer Natural Gas. Pamela married Kim Kelp and spent eight years living and working in Austin. In 1992, she returned to Amarillo and was employed by her brother-in-law, Donald Bagwell, and after his death in 2003, she continued with his son, Gary Bagwell at Bagwell Company. During these years, she married Patrick Rushing, the father of her daughter Miranda and son Alex. Pamela was a member of the Amarillo Rotary Club. She had a company, Rushing Oil and Gas, for a while. She worked at Haverty’s for a few years before retiring and starting her new life with David. In June 2022, she married David Oberbrockling and resided there until her death.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Maxine; and son, Alex Rushing.

Pamela is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Miranda Attanasio and husband Jared and their children, Liv and Liam; stepchildren, Chris Kelp, Kiki Kelp, Dani Enriquez and husband Stephen and their son, Eden; sisters, Kathy Bagwell and husband Mike Burnett of Amarillo, TX, and Debbie Grigsby and husband John of Sanger, TX; nieces and nephews, Kira and Bret Aduddell of Ft. Collins, CO, Tina Fortner and husband John of McKinney, TX, Lisa Burgan of Frisco, TX, and John Burgan of Amarillo, TX; Amber and Keith Ivy of Aubrey, TX, and Zachary and Cybil Grigsby of Pilot Point, TX; great-nieces and nephews, December, John Marq, Gracie, Bella, Hudson, Griffin, Addison, Avery, Kellen, Zoe, and Collin; and 1 great-nephew, Drake.

In lieu of flowers, the memorial contributions can be to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates Guardians) or a charity of your choice.
