BOXWELL BROS FUNERAL HOME - SPEARMAN, TX
Patrick Wayne Meek, 62, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on April 17, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Cornerstone Methodist Church in Spearman Texas, at 1:30 P.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Bros Funeral Home in Spearman, TX.
Wayne was born in Perryton, Texas, on June 21, 1963, and grew up in Spearman, Texas, a place that always remained close to his heart. Memories of his favorite times playing Little League baseball, Babe Ruth League baseball and competing far and near with a softball team sponsored by Baker and Taylor Drilling always brought a smile to his face. Many friendships were formed during that time.
He attended Texas Tech University, where he was a proud member of the Goin’ Band from Raiderland. He enjoyed and appreciated music throughout his life and always loved a good fight song.
He established himself as a printing estimator in Amarillo, Texas, before moving to Denver, Colorado, in 2007, to continue his career with a large printing company. He took great pride in his work and the life he built through dedication and hard work. Wayne also loved the beauty of Colorado, especially the mountain views and the snow.
Wayne found joy in life’s simple pleasures and the people he loved most. He enjoyed all sports, baking, reading and watching Perry Mason on television. He liked attending Colorado Rockies games with his son, but nothing ever surpassed his love for the New York Yankees. One of his favorite memories was traveling to New York with his dad to watch the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium.
Some of Wayne’s happiest moments were spent cheering on his children at their sporting events when they were younger and playing cards with family during gatherings. Even when his health declined and traveling was limited, he made every effort to get to Spearman for Christmas to spend time with his children and grandchildren at his parent’s home. He will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence and the memories he created with those closest to him.
Wayne was predeceased by his grandparents, Norris and Jane (Swenson) Meek and Robert and Mona (Ingels) Driscoll.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Sheryl Meek; his brother and sister-in-law Greg and Robin Meek; his children, Kolby Brennan and son-in-law Cory Brennan, Colton Meek, and Kloe Meek; and his beloved grandchildren, Emma, Henry, Nora and Jake. Also, there is his canine friend, Athena.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cornerstone Methodist Church, 407 Haney, Spearman, Texas 79081; or Bridge of Life, an international nonprofit working to strengthen healthcare regarding chronic kidney disease. Donations may be given online at bridgeoflifeinternational.org.
