Pauline was born on December 8, 1926, in Ochiltree County to Linus and Ruby Stump Taylor. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1943 and moved to Amarillo, Texas, to live with her sister Velma. Pauline attended Fleming Business College and began her working career. She worked at the Potter County Clerk's Office and Security Federal Savings & Loan, and was Robert Bauman's office manager for 36 years and retired at 89 years young.

She loved antiques and had many collections that she enjoyed. Her daughters enjoyed going antique shopping with her and also going to Upstate New York for antique and shopping trips. She enjoyed her flowers, working in her yard, and always had a vegetable garden.

Pauline walked two miles a day for over forty years. Her grandchildren liked to go on her walks with her so they could look for treasure. It was a big win when they found money lying in the street. Her grandson said one of his memories of her is she always had a sense of style and was a classy lady. Her granddaughter said she never left her house empty handed. She always had vegetables from her garden, homemade chex mix, or some grocery store bargain to share. Her great-granddaughter said she remembers her picking her up from elementary school one year and took her to dance and soccer and she enjoyed the quality time with her.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, an infant son, and her son Tom. She was also preceded in death by her brother John Linus Taylor; sisters, Beulah Madden, Evelyn Bean, Lucille Briscoe, Tena Easley, Velma Shaver, and Margie Grayson.

She is survived by her daughters, Toni Chapman and Julie Bogard, both of Amarillo; her grandchildren Greg McCoy and wife Sharon, Amy Whitley and husband Ryan, Ryan McCoy and wife Julie, and Ty McCoy and wife Connie. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Colton McCoy, Carson McCoy, Connor McCoy, Tristan Whitley, Aslan Whitley, Sadie Jackson and husband Wesley, Zane McCoy and wife Samantha, Londyn McCoy, and Slayde McCoy, and great- great-granchildren Grey McCoy, Beckett McCoy, and Andi Jackson.
