Peggy Jo Hartman

Peggy Jo Hartman, 90, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and the promise of eternal life in Christ.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2025, at Llano Cemetery Pantheon Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Peggy was born on November 5, 1935, in Memphis, Texas, to Henry Cleve and Martha Elizabeth Evans. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. On May 3, 1957, she married the love of her life, Charles Alton Hartman. Together they built a home filled with faith, warmth, and enduring memories. As a homemaker, Peggy poured her heart into caring for those she loved, always placing family first.

Peggy had a gentle spirit and a servant’s heart. Her Christian faith guided her life and brought her peace, comfort, and hope. She was known for her gracious nature, her listening ear, and the way she made others feel welcomed and valued. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Hartman; her parents, Henry Cleve Evans and Martha Elizabeth Evans; her brothers, Grant Evans, Richard Messer, Marion Messer, M.L. Evans, and Cleve Evans; and her sisters, Dorothy Hutchinson, Mary Nell Malone, and Ima Joyce Rice.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Kathy Richardson; her granddaughter, Regan Denova and husband Andrew Denova; her grandson, Ryan Richardson and girlfriend April Ulekowski; her sister, Judith Uhrich; and many cherished nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Peggy will be deeply missed, but her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the loving arms of her Savior.
